A Love Story
Yelle Love (pronounced "yell love") was born out of a desire for a world we want to live in, the realization that we can create that world, and the courage to make it happen. The name is a play on our founder's name, Danielle ("dani" - "yelle"), and the intention to boldly love the world.
We are a slow fashion brand offering ethical and sustainable apparel for women, with an emphasis on locally grown and manufactured materials. Much of the apparel industry has been outsourced to other countries, but we are committed to supporting (and hopefully reviving) USA grown sustainable materials and ethical labor practices.
We believe
- Clothing should make you feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident in all of life's moments.
- The materials in clothing should feel good and not harm our environment or our bodies.
- The people who create the materials and clothing should be compensated with a living wage and be treated with dignity.
- Businesses should create locally and people should shop locally to build local economies, self-sufficiency, and reduce their carbon impact.
- People should buy clothing that lasts longer, so they buy less clothing overall, reducing physical waste and the mental waste of consumerism.
- Creative expression is essential to life.
- Clothing (and life) should be fun and full of love — otherwise, what's the point?!
